Pluto in House Two

In order to understand these placements, the entire chart must be analyzed. These generic definitions are only the tip of the iceberg in the larger script of your life.

Pluto in the Second House:
The need for attachments

The Second House has to do with money and possessions. What you work for and what you accrue in your life.  This is the house most people struggle with.
Having Pluto in the Second House indicates a soul who has elected to experience money, financial success and possessions.  Here we see boats, houses, cars, clothing and all things that are ruled by Taurus and Venus (Second House Rulers).  However, all these luxuries must be achieved by working versus the 8th house which deals with inheritances and legacies. In the second house you come to work and make money.

What does that mean from a karmic standpoint? As usual, it can mean many things and this can only be determined by looking at the whole chart..

1) A soul could elect to be born with Pluto in the second house to facilitate the challenges around money and financial success.  Many past lives centered around poverty can often be found with people with this positions.  The soul must be empowered by working and achieving in the material world.
2) A soul who in previous lives has never had to work and provide for themselves such as royalty and nobility but also clergy and warriors. These souls belonged to a specific group that provided food and shelter in exchange for service.
3) A soul whose spouse of family has always provided for them.  In this life, it is important to be empowered by making their own money and enjoy it.
4) A soul with past lives centered around working to sustain a family and luxuries were never an option. Feelings of frustrations are often indicated with this placement. In this life, the soul has chosen to understand the freedom that money can bring.
5) The soul has had past lives where money and status defined them.  In this life, they must learn to detach themselves from money and possessions in terms of an identity. In other words, we are not the things we own.  This position can be challenging since the soul is comfortable with associating itself with material possessions.
6) A soul who needs to understand the value of money through work.  The soul squandered money in past lives through gambling or excessive shopping and must now earn money to pay for the luxuries it craves.

Unlike the 6th house where the work is centered around service, this house speaks of money and possessions that can achieved through high paying jobs.

Some examples of celebrities with Pluto in the second house are:
Bill Gates, Arnold Schwarzenegger,  Heidi Klum, Steven Spielberg, Princess Stephanie of Monaco, Rita Hayworth, Gertrude Stein, Lisa Marie Presley
