Pluto in House Eight

In order to understand these placements, the entire chart must be analyzed. These generic definitions are only the tip of the iceberg in the larger script of your life.

Pluto in the Eight House:
The Need to Regenerate

Pluto in the Eighth House has "team advantage" since it rules the Eighth House.  Pluto is associated with the Tarot Card: Death and here, in the Eighth House we see that play out in so many ways!!
Think of death in terms of passing from one state to another, the ultimate regeneration.  The Phoenix Rising from its ashes.  Destroy and rebuild. Reinventing yourself. Detoxing to purify. Changing appearance after emotional upheaval.
The Eighth House also has to do with inheritances and legacies, money that comes to you after someone's death.
Benjamin Franklin said that there are only two things certain in life: Death and Taxes.
Neither can be avoided, for sure! Therefore, we find both things in the eighth house.
The IRS is an eighth house element as are accountants, estate agents and lawyers. Wills belong here.

When you have Asteroid Karma, for example, in the eighth house this implies karma that can no longer be avoided.  It also points to karma that has to do with receiving money from others possibly due to lifetimes of selfless work and good deeds.

The Eighth House also rules Sex since orgasm (little death) is a release both physical and spiritual where we experience a moment of total transcendence.

Before we address all Eighth House influences, having Pluto here should either make you feel extremely comfortable with all these items to a point of pride or make you so afraid of them you run for the hills. You can also refer to my post: Pluto the Badass Planet
for a more comprehensive list.

The eighth house in an astrological chart marks the end (death) of the material houses 1-7 and initiates our entrance into the spiritual houses 9-12. In houses 9 through 11 we must step out of our comfort zone and can no longer hide.  The 12th house is our goal and destination but we must travel through 9th, 10th and 11th to get there.  The eighth house gives us this opportunity for transition.
Since it is straddled between the lower and higher hemispheres of the chart, anything pertaining to the physical realm encountering the spiritual is highlighted. This is also why this house rules paranormal investigators, mediums and ghosts versus spirit guides, God, soulmates, Twin Flames and spirituality.
Those belong to the higher realms (12th house) where the human experience is long forgotten.
In the eighth house, the human experience is "fresh" so anything attached to earth from spiritual realms lives here. It is also the house of Ouija boards.

Pluto in the Eighth House can imply a fascination with death as in the following three examples of most infamous killers: Adolf Hitler, John Wayne Gayce, Lizzie Borden. All three had Pluto in Eighth House.

Then see how some of those things have somehow affected you in this incarnation.  The scary ones that have no bearing on your life you can easily discard.  Pluto calls for empowerment around fears in the eighth house.
